Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Prop Edge Solutions ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use PropEdge, in line with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Sultanate of Oman.

1. What we collect

• Account details: company or personal name, first and last name, email address, mobile number, country, preferred language, and your password (stored only as a one-way hash that nobody can read).
• Company details: such as address, contact numbers, logo, owner and focal-point details that you enter on the company page.
• Data you enter to run your business: properties, units, tenants, tenancies, payments, expenses, repair requests and their photos, and the users you invite. This can include tenants' names, phone numbers and Civil ID or passport numbers.
• Usage and security data: the IP address you sign up and sign in from, sign-in times, and a record of important actions (who did what, and when) to protect accounts and trace errors.
• Your consents: your agreement to the Terms of Use and this policy, and your consent to WhatsApp and SMS messages, with the date and version.

2. How we use it

• to create your account, run the Service, and store and show your data to you and the users you give access to;
• to send account emails (verification, password reset and invitations);
• to contact you by WhatsApp and SMS about your account, your trial and support, based on your consent;
• to protect the Service, prevent misuse, trace faults and improve the Service;
• to comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your data, and we use your tenants' data only to provide the Service to you.

3. Legal basis

We process data to perform our agreement with you (providing the Service), on the basis of your consent (for example WhatsApp and SMS messages), and to meet our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in protecting the Service. For tenant and other data you enter, you decide its purpose and we process it on your behalf.

4. Who we share it with

• Within your account: the users you invite see data according to the role and access you give them. Each company's data is kept separate from every other company's.
• Service providers: Cloudflare, to deliver and protect the website, and our email provider, to send account emails. They process data only as far as needed to provide their service.
• WhatsApp: when your team uses "Share on WhatsApp", WhatsApp opens on the user's device and the message is sent from their own account.
• Authorities: where the law requires it.

5. Where data is stored

Your data is stored on servers we operate in the Sultanate of Oman. Website traffic passes through Cloudflare's network, which may process it outside Oman to deliver and protect the site.

6. How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), one-way hashed passwords, separation of each company's data, role-based access, a record of important actions, and regular backups. No system can be completely secure, however.

7. How long we keep it

We keep data while your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your data, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.

8. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, withdraw your consent to WhatsApp and SMS messages, and object to processing where the law allows. Write to us at support@propedge-om.com. If you are a tenant of one of our customers, please send your request to your landlord or property manager first; we will help them carry it out.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: to keep you signed in securely and to remember your language. Our security provider (Cloudflare) may set cookies needed to protect the site. We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Children

The Service is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date and version are shown at the top of this page, and we will tell you about any material change before it takes effect.
